In September 2022, Lyka took a leap of faith that would change the course of her life.

By July 2023, while pursuing her studies, she had secured a full-time Financial Analyst position at a Fortune 100 company.
That same month marked another important milestone: her husband joined her in Canada on an Open Work Permit.

Graduation, motherhood, and professional growth
APRIL 2024 — SENECA POLYTECHNIC GRADUATION
Imagine celebrating graduation while embracing an entirely new chapter of motherhood. Just four months later, in August 2024, Lyka received her Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), allowing her to continue building her professional experience in Canada.
By November 2024, she had started working full-time from home as an Accountant.
Her story was no longer just about studying overseas. It had become a journey of balancing professional ambitions, motherhood, and family life in a country she was learning to call home.
October 2026: The message that made everything worthwhile
On October 14, 2026, Lyka reached out to Jessah, her ENZ advisor, with a simple but meaningful message:
“Hi Jessah, just wanted to let you know nga PR nakon. Thank you for all the help idi nag student nak. God bless!”
Four years after beginning her studies, Lyka was officially a Canadian Permanent Resident.
It was a milestone shaped by years of hard work, personal sacrifices, important decisions, and perseverance.
And the celebrations aren't over.
In November 2026, Lyka and her husband are expecting their second child, a baby girl.
